The Chestnut tree is a fundamental landscape element for the identity of the territory, an important protagonist of the local economy and an integral part of the historical and cultural heritage of these places and the people who live there. The Marrone IGP of Mugello represents all this: the environment from which it comes and its history, a gourmet product of immense value an inexhaustible ingredient.

Mugellano doc, for several years Cristian Borchi has been at the Guide of the “Antica Porta di Levante” the restaurant of Vicchio presents a cuisine that is rooted in tradition and local products, processed without exasperation. His cuisine follows the seasonality of the products and producers trusted, without disdaining some digression in Italy or abroad when the raw material is of excellence. His philosophy pushes him to a continuous research of raw materials such as meat, poultry products, cheese, oil, vegetables, meats, wild herbs and – recently – the freshwater fish of the lakes in the area.
