Valdisieve is the closest mountain to the city of Florence and includes the towns of Dicomano, Londa, Pelago, Pontassieve, Reggello, Rufina and San Godenzo. A green and uncontaminated territory that extends from the valley of Sieve to the border with Mugello, of great natural and environmental value, protected by numerous reserves and protected areas. In Valdisieve there are strips of the National Park of Casentino Forests, the Vallombrosa Biogenetic Reserve, the Sant’Antonio Forest with beech and chestnut forests as far as the eye can see, the ridges of the consuma and Monte Giovi, on the border with Mugello, and further down rolling hills cultivated with olive groves and vineyards.

Grati have been growing and producing wine and oil in Rufina for five generations. The sixteenth-century villa of Vetrice has developed around an ancient watchtower of the thirteenth century. The tradition continues and the current descendants no longer descend to Florence with the cart pulled by the majestic white oxen to deliver their flasks to city customers. Now await them in the tasting room of the farm. Part of the complex are the vinsantaia, the rural buildings and the private family chapel. A hospitality with a genuine taste as usual welcome.
