Dicomano is a small town born on the left bank of the river Sieve, at the confluence with the river Comano and at the intersection of the valley of Mugello with the Valdisieve and the valley of San Godenzo. The hills that surround it, at the foot of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, are covered with chestnut, turkey oak and beech woods. The territory of Dicomano is rich in archaeological presence. The area of Frascole is the one that has returned the most substantial finds. In the locality of San Martino a Poggio (fraction Frascole) we find the archaeological area that can be visited in summer and that contains an ancient Etruscan village.

The village of Villa Cellaia was born from the renovation of a small village of 1700 that included the manor house, the farmhouses, the barn and the noble chapel.
