The silence of the Casentino valley tells a lot to those who have the patience to listen. On these hills life flows slowly and nature marks the passage of time with the seasons. From such an ancient territory comes a vintage classic method that finds in the territory and waiting its identity, 36 months of work, dreams and expectations to give life to The Patriot, The Classic Method of Casentino.

Roberto Fregnan has always been a fan of bubbles, but it is during a car trip with a friend who decides to start sparkling for “game” in one of the most suitable territories in Italy. Few bottles with vineyard in concession made for friends and family. We are in Northern Italy and some features are well linked to the much loved Casentino. The path started out of passion in 2009 finally finds its true dimension: the bottle. With 2019 comes the first wine entirely produced in Casentino, starting from the Vigna of Patriota” passing through the beautiful winery. The real beginning of Cantina Fregnan’s activity, the moment that Roberto and Maria Grazia have been waiting for for almost 10 years.
