We must search with the soul the particular strip of land of Rufina. In 1716 the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de’ Medici, established its boundaries that continue to exist substantially. Already then he had noticed that “only in the wide hills of Rufina it is possible to obtain a wine so long-lasting, full-bodied and aristocratic” and he had already recommended to try it.

Villa of Vetrice, birthplace of an idea, whose history began centuries ago, still continues to be written to create the highest quality wines. The land of the “Villa Vetrice” has been cultivated for five generations by winemakers who with passion put themselves at the service of tradition, assuming the responsibility that follows.
