The Giachi family has been involved in the production of wine for over three centuries, since, in 1720, Bartolomeo Giachi left Florence to move to Ulignano, settling permanently with his family in the prestigious residence, farm centre of very high-quality vineyards. The founder of the family, understood the strategic importance of the place chosen for residence, erected the first walls close to the Via Francigena; the place where he laid the first stone was baptized by him Torciano Estate as erected on the lands bathed by the ancient “Borro di Torciano”.
