In Mugello the cultivation of vineyards has never been lacking. In the Renaissance Mugello wines were well considered, even more than Tuscan products considered today true “excellences” in the world. For at least a few decades Mugello has been reconfirming the fame that in the following centuries was dispersed, revealing unsuspected wine qualities, which surprised the public and critics who had bet on this land, renewing vineyards and winerys.

L’ “Azienda Agricola La Matteraia” is located in the Mugello “lung green “of Tuscany, precisely in the municipality of Vicchio at the foot of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines 400 meters above sea level, and it is in this valley that the company extends its 30 hectares of orchards, vineyards, olive groves and woods. It is 35 km from Florence.
