Born as a watchtower in the early Middle Ages built by ” i da Quona ” of the counts Guidi of romagna, powerful lords of the lands of Casentino and all those east of Florence, around which a “village” was born that from 1229 was a fief of the nearby abbey of Vallombrosa. “Villa Grassina” is the result of a typical Tuscan structure that owes its appearance to an evolution over time, given by volumetric expansions and transformations.
