The Florentine steak, also simply called Florentine, is a cut of beef or scottona originally of Chianina breed, which together with the specific preparation, makes it one of the most known dishes of Tuscan cuisine. It is a high cut including the bone, to be cooked on the barbeque or on the grill, with a degree of cooking “rare”.
The “Trattoria Fontebuona” was born in the ’30s and the story goes that at the time it was a grocery store and a refreshment for travelers, only in the ’90s it became a typical Tuscan trattoria. The property of the premises still belongs to the same family. Their management arrives in this corner of nature in 2015 and since then is managed by a small but very close-knit team.
- • Dinner with three-course menu including appetizer, Florentine steak with roast potatoes and sweet, a bottle of wine of our selection, water and cofee included.
