The Casentino, one of the four valleys of the Province of Arezzo, is located in eastern Tuscany. To the east its natural boundary is the Apennine ridge beyond which lies the Romagna. To the north, beyond the Falterona Mountain there is the Mugello Valley in the Province of Florence. The Casentino can be reached by several roads, all recalling paths of very ancient origin.

The association of social promotion “Gli Amici dell’Asino” is a company of environmental education professionals, hiking and equestrian guides and animators, which operates mainly in Casentino and within the National Park of the Casentino Forests, Monte Falterona and Campigna, proposing and carrying out activities and projects that aim to make children and young people protagonists of their cognitive achievements, to promote environmental education, knowledge of the territory and the approach to the world of donkeys.
