The Acquacheta is the most important tributary of the Montone and before reaching S.Benedetto in Alpe makes a jump of over 70 meters in the homonymous waterfall. The waterfall, described by Dante in the XVI canto dell’Inferno, can be reached only through a couple of hours’ hike that goes up the valley reaching, just upstream of the waterfall, the suggestive Piana of Romiti with the ruins of the ancient village.

From the wise recovery of two ancient stone houses, placed at the foot of the Millenary Benedictine Abbey, in a panoramic position of all importance was born “Il Vignale”. Located in the upper and oldest part of the village of San Benedetto in Alpe in the province of Forlì-Cesena, “Vignale” offers a fascinating view of the Acquacheta Valley.

• Snack in a restaurant.
• -Guided tour of the Abbey of San Benedetto in Alpe, one of the oldest Benedictine abbeys.
• Valid for two people, organized by “Ostello Ristorante Il Vignale”.
