The territory of Dicomano is rich in archaeological presence. The area of Frascole is the one that has returned the most substantial finds. In the locality of San Martino a Poggio (fraction Frascole) we find the archaeological area that can be visited in summer and that contains an ancient Etruscan village. The numerous excavations have allowed to discover, in addition to the foundations of the ancient Romanesque church of S. Martino al Poggio, materials referable from the sixth century BC to the first century AD, as well as the powerful quadrangular perimeter of an Etruscan building.
